Networked

In future, only companies capable of organizing knowledge in networks will be able to maintain a competitive edge. This was the common perception among the participants of this year’s Technology Conference.

The WILD Integrated Network, in short WIN, offers direct access to specialist know-how and a multitude of service packages. The network creates personal links between individuals who can learn and benefit from each other. A successful example of this is the annual Technology Conference which took place this year under the motto “Pure Precision”. WILD invited three renowned experts who presented innovative trends in this area. Ekkehard Alschweig, the owner of Kern Microtechnik GmbH, provided some exciting insights into the world of high-precision manufacturing. The presentation delivered by Volker Burger, CEO of CleanControlling GmbH, focused on particle measurement. Subsequently, the two topics were discussed from WILD Group’s perspective by Robert Lackner and Johannes Macher, as well as in a field report presented by Marko Mert and Christian Ogris. Jan Henjes, Group Manager for Production Structures at Fraunhofer Austria Research GmbH, spoke about production networks in the future, thus establishing the link to the WIN partner network.

Seeing the big picture

A welcome change of perspective, which is known to encourage people to leave well-trodden paths and seek new approaches, was the evening event in the Klagenfurt planetarium, where the conference participants immersed themselves in the depths of space with some phenomenal images of our galaxy. The project day that followed was dedicated to intensive work in individual project meetings.
