Tailwind from the industry

There was a mixture of optimism and caution at this year’s COMPAMED. Nevertheless, the WILD Group is taking a lot of tailwind from the industry into next year. Not least because of the enormous encouragement from trade show visitors.

After four days, the WILD Group can report a very positive result of its trade show appearance at this year’s COMPAMED. “Especially the range of our services and technologies has impressed those visitors, who did not know us before, enormously. In addition, our videos gave them a good insight and overview of everything we offer as a technology partner in a very short time,” reports Business Developer Franz Aigner from the supplier trade fair in Düsseldorf. The theme “Operating Room of the Future”, which was chosen this time to vividly present the above-average technological bandwidth of the group, proved to be a good bracket for both potentially interested parties and existing customers.

Plenty to talk about & specific inquiries

About 50 visitors per day were impressed by the concentrated expert know-how at the WILD Group’s trade show booth, where they obtained very targeted information from the managing directors, division managers, and representatives from business development, sales, development, and marketing. “A noticeable number of them were extremely well prepared and discussed detailed topics with us. Specific inquiries concerned possible cooperations in development, manufacturing, and support in regulatory affairs issues,” explains Marketing Manager Michaela Ulbing.

There is a continuing strong trend towards close industry networks, which help to score points together with innovative ideas and concepts in the dynamic market environment of medical technology. Smart development and production partnerships as well as bundled network knowledge, such as those offered by the WILD Group with INSION, which also was present at the trade show booth, are more in demand than ever. “Fortunately, we are perceived as a professional partner in the industry and are being actively approached by suppliers and potential customers more and more,” Aigner and Ulbing confirm in unison.

Expert presentations on the interlinking of development and production

Visitors of the COMPAMED Suppliers Forum were extremely interested in the expert presentations by Daniel Pressl and Stefan Preißer. The two business developers from WILD and PHOTONIC demonstrated the numerous advantages of combining development and manufacturing from a single source. Stefan Preißer spoke about production-oriented designs of optical assemblies and devices that reliably reduce both development risks and  the time-to-market. Daniel Pressl provided information on the importance of open innovation and cross engineering to overcome current and future challenges in the development and manufacturing of high-tech medical products.
