Recently a group of 15 WILD employees joined in the 3rd South Carinthia life run for a good cause, running around Lake Klopein a total of 34 times. The EUR 340 which was sponsored for the run by management will benefit the Herzschlag Special Olympics team and AVS social hostel in Sittersdorf.

Tthe main objective of the 3rd South Carinthia life run was not to break any speed records but to run as many kilometres as possible, which totalled 470 this year, thus setting a new record was set for the number of participants. At this event, each kilometre that was run or walked raised EUR 2. For the 15 WILD employees, taking part in the charity run was close to their hearts. After all, the “Herzschlag Kärnten” association uses the money raised to finance sports projects for people with disabilities and allows Herzschlag’s own team to participate in external events. In the past, for instance, the event helped to finance Carinthian participants’ preparation for the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2017 in Styria.

At this year’s event, a total of EUR 12,615 was collected. The Special Olympics – Herzschlag Kärnten association and AVS social hostel in Sitteldorf will receive 50% each.
