Networking, matchmaking and doing things the right way. Many a student secured their first job at this year’s Meet & Match by the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. The event was a full success for WILD too.

Practical training, bachelor, master and project theses, internships, and a whole series of potential permanent jobs. This is what WILD had on offer for students visiting the 2018 Meet & Match job fair on campus at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. “We’ve had numerous interesting meetings with students from all disciplines. At our newly-designed booth alone, we discussed possible job areas at WILD with more than 30 visitors. Graduates of technical colleges are much sought after in various departments of our company because of the high quality of their applications”, affirms Andrea Gritsch, Head of Human Resources at WILD.

In a lecture delivered in the university’s main auditorium and streamed live on Facebook, Markus Poßegger, Head of Development at the Wernberg site, provided an insight into the various career opportunities within the WILD Group.

WILD also used the Meet & Match event to maintain its existing network of contacts with the teaching staff at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. “These personal contacts are very valuable. One the one hand, they lead to possible new research projects. On the other hand, recommendations by the teachers play a significant role when hiring”, says Human Resources Assistant Lukas Gruze. He received his degree in business management here in the autumn of 2017 and therefore maintains excellent contacts to the university.

This year’s job fair at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences set a new record with some 60 exhibitors and 600 visitors attending.
