The common willingness to drive forward innovation was the uniting force behind more than 6,000 exhibitors and 100,000 industry visitors at COMPAMED 2019. The WILD stand at the fair was living proof that future challenges can only be met with bundled know-how and that intelligent development and production partnerships are needed more than ever before.

Once again, the WILD Group’s presence at the world’s most significant supplier fair for the medical technology industry was fully in line with the system partners’ approach. “We solve the challenges of our customers quickly, holistically, and with maximum expertise. And this works best within a network”, explained CTO Wolfgang Warum. His claim was underpinned by the numerous innovative products presented together with Photonic and the WIN network partners at this year’s COMPAMED. They included a device for in-vitro diagnostics and analytics, whose development and assembly was the result of the combined skills contributed by Alphagate, Insion and the WILD Group. The NICCI device by Pulsion Medical Systems also impressively demonstrated how WILD can support its customers with a professional transition of novel products into serial production. “The device was a true magnet, since the live blood pressure and pulse measurement prompted many a visitor to take a break from the hectic bustle of the fair”, said Wolfgang Warum.

Photonic also offered visitors a glimpse of its wide range of products, also presenting its examination light with wall mount, already a great market success, as well as various light modules for applications such as fluorescence diagnostics.

“All in all, we were able to illustrate the entire range of services and products of the WILD Group and our different experts were able to answer project questions directly on site”, stressed Heidrun Freimuth, WILD Group Marketing Officer and organiser of the company’s trade stand.

Even though the new MDR and the economic decline and its potential impact on medical technology were among the main topics at this year’s COMPAMED, there was no sign of gloom at the trade stand of the WILD Group. Customer meetings were on the agenda for all four days of the fair. The wide pool of expertise present at the fair allowed for concrete projects and solution approaches to be discussed directly at these meetings. The symbiosis and the complementary portfolio of the co-exhibitors enabled the WILD Group to immediately involve the right contact partners and offer an accurate service on the spot. This was highly appreciated by the largely European medical technology manufacturers but also by certain American and Asian companies attending the event.

Visitors to the COMPAMED Suppliers Forum were also highly interested in the expertise put on display by the WILD Group. During his speech entitled “From Tech to Hightech to MedTech”, Business Developer Daniel Pressl used various examples to provide an insight into one of WILD Group’s greater strengths: the fact that the systems partner contributes plenty of know-how and implementation expertise from other industries. “As a result, we are in a position to offer our customers the unique opportunity to transfer knowledge and experience between different industries and technologies. A look back in history reminds that many innovations that revolutionised medicine originally came from other disciplines. In future, too, the ability to transfer know-how will have a decisive impact on a company’s innovation power”, stressed Pressl.
