A moving donation.

The WILD Group’s Christmas donation will help the “Haus der Generationen” in Völkermarkt to install a new sports and activities facility in the coming spring.

Dance to your heart’s content. Experience nature with all your senses. Make yourself useful and earn praise for your achievements. The garden of the daycare centre for disabled persons in Völkermarkt offers a welcome diversion for its 22 visitors, nine of whom are wheelchair bound. Thanks to the EUR 3,000 Christmas donation by the WILD Group, a lot will become easier for them in the coming year. “With all of the donation money we have collected, we can now afford to build a new sports and activities facility”, says director Karin Daniel. “Wheelchair users need a special surface and a direct access to the facility. Yet the facility can also be used as a football field. In addition, we want to improve our two “wellness oases” under the trees. These projects have been on our wish list for quite some time and we are really very grateful that we can now finally implement them.”
Building work is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2020. “We would be overjoyed if we managed to complete everything before our summer party in June 2020 and could celebrate the inauguration with our sponsors”, hopes Karin Daniel, also extending an invitation to the WILD management team who recently appeared in person at the “Haus der Generationen” to present her with the cheque.
“We are happy to see that all of the money we have saved by sending our Christmas card electronically is in very good hands here and that our donation can literally get a lot of things moving. The high spirits and the gratitude you sense at the centre has left a lasting impression on all of us”, stressed WILD Managing Directors Dr. Josef Hackl and Dr. Michael Wratschko, who handed over the donation cheque together with Human Resources Manager Andrea Gritsch.
