A total of eleven companies from the WILD Integrated Network recently met at Softwarepark Hagenberg to create innovative solutions together to meet the requirements of today’s market.

Only those who know the strengths of others are in a position to gather together the best companies from different industries to launch such a successful interdisciplinary project. Against this background, WILD staged the WIN Partnering Day for the second time this year.  This time, the host was CDE – Communications Data Engineering GmbH, a company based at Softwarepark Hagenberg. The common objective was to become more familiar with hitherto unknown competencies and business areas of the partner companies in order to initiate even more projects together. “Although the participants already knew each other, many were surprised to discover how widely diversified the medical technology and optics know-how that is bundled together by the WILD Integrated Network actually is”, says Christian Rabitsch, Strategy & Corporate Development Manager at WILD Group.

In particular the project forum impressively demonstrated the wide range of competencies available in WIN. During the forum, the partners were given the opportunity to present one of their competence focuses at the round tables. These relaxed presentations and open discussions allowed them to exchange experiences, develop innovative ideas and find common ground for future collaborations. The products presented ranged from an innovative prosthetic hand and novel packaging designs for medical use to a high-end rucksack camera for mobile measurements introduced by WILD. “For me, the network is a kind of ‘technology cloud’ where expert knowledge and competences from the most diverse areas come together and where you can find reliable, customer-oriented partners for projects”, asserts Manfred Augstein, CEO of Velixx GmbH, a company specialising in systems development in medical technology.

The plan is to once again organise the WIN Partnering Day at the premises of one of the network members next year, something which will also give a look behind the scenes of the host company’s work. There are also fixed plans for joint market activities and participation in trade fairs.
