Expert and mentor: At this year’s LEOBEN STARTUP WORKSHOP, WILD lent a strong hand to founders and young entrepreneurs.

Ideas coming from young company founders are usually ingenious yet the path to a successful product launch is strewn with stumbling blocks which they need to identify and circumvent. This is where experience comes in. For several years now, the START-UP WERKSTATT LEOBEN has been tapping into existing know-how by providing a platform that allows successful companies and “newbies” to share information. The guest speakers at this year’s workshop included Georg Pölzl, CEO of POST AG, Herbert Pock of AUSTIN BFP, and KTM boss Stefan Pierer, who provided advice on how to implement new ideas, develop a consistent business plan and gain access to subsidies to launch their start-ups.

Wolfgang Stiegmaier of WILD Business Development was also invited as an expert for the second time. He discussed specific questions on the topic of contract manufacturing with several of the 25 start-ups present at the event. “How do I find my ideal product partner? When exactly can I get involved in manufacturing? Anyone facing such important decisions must pay attention to a plethora of details. I am glad I was given the opportunity to pass on my know-how to aspiring young founders”, says Wolfgang Stiegmaier, who was delighted with the pleasant atmosphere and the intensive information exchange at the workshop.
